Meet the Team
Knead to Relax Massage Therapies is based in Castle Business Park in Stirling and is run by Sandy Winterbottom who is fully qualified sports and advanced remedial massage therapist. Since opening in September 2010, we have built up a fantastic team of dedicated and highly qualified therapists with a wide range of skills and specialties.
Sandy Winterbottom spent over 20 years as a University lecturer and academic before deciding on a career change. With a long interest in holistic therapies, massage was a perfect choice for a new way of life. Sandy wholeheartedly believes that massage should be part of everyone's life given the increasing amounts of daily pressure we now have to cope with. Sandy is qualified in advanced remedial techniques for the upper body and has a strong interest in office work related upper body disorders especially neck and shoulder pain, RSI, headaches and migraines which are very often caused and exacerbated by postural imbalances resulting from stress and/or prolonged computer work. She firmly believes that staff should not suffer pain and discomfort as a result of their jobs and is a keen proponent of proper work-station training and awareness for office staff. In addition, workplace stress often plays an key role in work related musculoskeletal disorders and Sandy believes that a combination of remedial and relaxation massage along with gentle holistic exercise and stress management techniques have a significant role to play in enabling employees to cope with the rigours of modern day office life. |

Josie Tulloch qualified from the University of the Highlands and Islands, based at Perth College with a BSc in Sports therapy and a HNC in soft tissue massage. She has also gained a Diploma in Swedish massage with the Western School. A combination of a love of outdoor sports and a fascination of human anatomy meant becoming a sports therapist was a natural career choice. She treats a wide range of clients, from ultra-runners to people struggling with back pain while working from home. When she isn’t working you will find her up a mountain with her dog, swimming in a loch or out cycling on the local trails. |
